The Science of When.

I am lying on a massive, pale-gray rock on the ocean, close to a rocky coast.

Beneath me, there is a strong current with turquoise-blue, crystalline water rushing around. There are people that are swimming through the current and over to the rocky shore. I grin at someone and say that I have been here before. I know how dangerous this current is, so it is crucial that I jump in at the right moment to swim to shore.

I know that that moment is now.

I glide into the water, and I swim. But I have something in my hand — a glass, with something in it — that I am trying to keep above water. So I am barely getting ahead.

I have to let it go. And so I do.

Now, with both hands and arms free, I swim to the shore.

Walk with P e r m i s s i o n

Before you speak,

You must know how to

Listen.

You don't take, my dear–

What you need is what you’re

given.

And if you do,

you must ask

for permission.

Ask for permission.

Feel for the vision.

Abide by the mission.

And when the time has come,

You take that Decision.

You do as you are told,

And you move with precision.

You speak with your chest.

And you walk

with P E R M I S S I O N.
